Summer fun!

All Spring I look forward to spending lots of time outside on walks and in the pool, and then it happens. Hundred degree weather hits and we look outside longing for cooler weather. The only relief is to be in the water. With four little ones, the pool is not the best option with regard to safety, so we have many "stations" that include a water table, baby pool, water slide, and the water wiggle. On this day we (Mom) opted for the water wiggle. Evan and Morgan did not want to participate, but Ethan and Macy had a blast.

Macy taking a break to "read" mommy's book.

Morgan pouting and refusing to participate.

Evan enjoying climbing up and down on the patio furniture.

Macy tried to get Morgan out of her funk.

On days when there are extra adults around (mainly our good friends Gregg and Lauren) we get brave and take the kids in the big pool. On this evening Lauren and I had our four and her three in the pool while the husbands supervised (and took pictures for us).

The kids are growing up so fast. Looking back at last summer's photos, they were such babies! This is our annual 4th of July photo. We ended up having a quiet evening at home after visiting with the Hennessys in the afternoon.

Field Trip

We took a field trip to visit Daddy today at the fire station. It was nice to be out and let the kids run. They all took a turn "driving" and exploring the bay.

"Whoa, this is big!"

Working out with Dad.

Fun in the sun!

Playing outside has become a daily event lately. It's so much easier to kick the kiddos outside to run off energy then to referee the squabbles inside. Water has become our new best friend as the heat hit the last week of May. Here are some action shots of the mayhem!

Memorial day we spent the evening at Mom and Dad's. The kids love playing with Jack and Abbie and the rest of the Luna gang. The highlight of the night was the wagon rides.

Tangled and Fancy Free

Hear ye, Hear ye!
Come get tangled and fancy free.
Macy is turning three!
Come celebrate with swords and crowns,
A royal birthday, where joy abounds.
Macy celebrated her 3rd birthday Tangled style. She had been talking about her birthday nonstop for months. This year she was able to help make the favors and decorations. We made the Pascal blowers a month before and Macy got to put all the googly eyes on white Mom drew the faces. We also made a princes tower. The roof is made of tiny Macy thumbprints!

The day of the party we hung paper lanterns, following the theme of the movie. Macy was so excited to have her friends come over and play with her!

The day was hot so we had water toys out for the little ones while the older kids braved the cold pool. She loved opening all her gifts in her new princess chair.

Later she practiced riding her new bicycle from Mommy and Daddy!

When it was time for bed, Macy snuggled with all her new friends.

A visit from Papa and B

Grandma "B" and Papa Don came and stayed with us on and off for a couple weeks in February. It was nice to have them around and see the kids interact with them. Papa enjoyed snuggle time every night. He's giving Evan his bottle and Ethan crawled up and passed out!

Grandma "B" hanging out with Moragan.

The girls were showing off doing laps around the couch!

The babies love Macy's new big girl bed because they can climb up on it all by themselves! I captured some of the craziness.

While Don and Debby were here the babies dropped their daytime bottles. Here is one of the last bottles the had. Awww, my babies are growing up!

Playtime

A rare occasion captured (only two awake!) Matt snuggled with Ethan and Macy.

To our dismay, Evan loves playing in the dog beds. He comes out a furry mess, but how do you resist that squishy face?!

Macy thinks Evan is "so cute"!

Ethan practices sliding with Daddy and explores the yard.

Evan loves exploring and we caught him attempting to climb the slide and being pretty successful.

A little boost from Daddy...

So proud!

Morgan decided to stay in jammies for the day and enjoyed pushing her car around and swinging.

Later that day the babies decided to help Mommy do the dishes.
